The Spike broadcast is live. First fight up shortly.
Jamie Yager vs. Rich Attonito - Round 1 - Yager misses with a low kick early. Uppercut lands now and a low kick. Right hand now from Yager. Flurry of punches and Attonito is stuck going backward. Now Yager over-commits with punches and Attonito is looking for a takedown against the cage. Yager defends well and manages to stay on his feet. Right hand by Yager and a low kick and the low kicks are starting to add up. Uppercut lands now for Yager. Attonito counters with a right hand and it's his first good work of the round. Big right by Yager lands. Left hook from Attonito. Attonito charges in for a double against the cage and can't get it again. Right hand from Attonito lands hard. Right hand for Yager again. Hard leg kick for Yager again. Round ends and it's 10-9 Yager.
Round 2 - Big hook from Yager and now a solid hand combination. Yager landing combinations while Attonito tries to throw single punch counters that aren't really landing. Both men land left hooks. Yager is starting to gas a little and it's making him easier to hit and Attonito lands a few hooks. Body shot and a hand combo from Yager. Right hand for Attonito and it looks like Yager is getting ready to fold. Takedown by Attonito finally and now he has the back, working for a choke. Attonito gives up on the choke and starts throwing punches and the fight is stopped. Rich Attonito wins by TKO (strikes), round 2.
Spencer Fisher vs. Dennis Siver - Round 1 - Fisher using low kicks while Siver is trying to find range with the hook. Low kick lands to Siver's cup and there's a break in the action. As they resume Fisher lands a left hand. Front kick from Siver lands to the face of Fisher. Siver has a cut and I think it came from a clash of heads. Left hook by Siver lands. Siver is bleeding badly from that cut. They haven't shown a replay but with a lefty/righty fight it's pretty standard for heads to clash. A lot of strikes being thrown from both guys but neither guy really landing. Finally Goldberg and Florian point out the clash of heads as a cause of the cut. Spinning back kick from Siver misses. The round comes to an end and I'd say it's a 10-9 round for Fisher on cleaner strikes.
Round 2 - Head kick lands for Fisher. Siver keeps pawing with strikes but isn't landing much of note. Fisher mixing up low kicks with left hands. Siver trying to get in close but he's having some trouble with the distance. Nice pair of leg kicks from Siver now. It's a much slower round here. Siver catches a kick and lands a right hand that briefly puts Fisher down. Fisher gets back up but Siver has taken the round over. Nice knee to the body lands for Fisher and he misses a spinning back fist. Spinning back kick misses for Siver and the round ends. I've got it even at a round a piece.
Round 3 - Fisher throws and misses a head kick. Siver keeps going to the leg and body kicks. Left hand lands for Fisher and things are picking up. Three punch combo from Siver and now a straight right. Siver really pressuring here. Nice inside right hook from Fisher. They're trading big shots now with both men landing. Siver with some more kicks to the legs. Spinning backfist from Fisher misses. Close round but I'd give it to Siver on his pressure to give him a 29-28 win.
Official Scorecards: 30-27, 29-28, 29-28 all for Dennis Siver. Dennis Siver wins by unanimous decision.
Chris Leben vs. Aaron Simpson - Round 1 - Simpson with a right hand. Simpson with a flurry and then a nice high crotch takedown. Leben stands up and eats a knee. Simpson looks for the guillotine and lands a knee before Leben escapes. Big left hook just misses for leben. Right hand by Simpson. Both guys throwing big shots and now Leben starts to connect with big punches. Simpson presses him into the cage but can't get the takedown. Leben landing with Simpson against the cage. The fight is slowing down as both men get tired. Left hand from Leben. Leben landing some big shots and Simpson's legs go out on him forcing the referee to jump in and stop the fight.
Chris Leben wins by TKO (strikes), round 2.
Keith Jardine vs. Mat Hamill - Round 1 - Jardine lands a right hand early. Hamill landing some uppercuts from the clinch before Jardine can get away. Hamill throwing the jab and is doing a good job of trying to cut off the cage. Both men land leg kicks. Big leg kick from Jardine lands again. Nice punch combination for Jardine. Body kick lands now. Hamill is having trouble landing when he throws. Jardine with a nice series of punches that bounce off Hamill's head. Back to the leg kick goes Hamill. Body kick from Hamill. Hamill is showing a really bad habit of going straight backward when he is getting thrown at. Jardine really owned that first round. 10-9 Jardine.
Round 2 - Nice jab early from Hamill and he is clearly looking to shoot this round. Hamill's angles are making it hard on him but Matt is starting to find range with the jab this round. Body kick from Jardine and he goes back to the legs. Nice uppercut from Hamill. Jardine lands a little bit and now a head kick from Hamill and he starts trying to land a flurry of punches and Jardine accidentally pokes Hamill in the eye. After a break a point is taken from Jardine and the fight resumes. Jardine trying to throw a big flurry but gets taken down and eats a few shots. The round ends with both men bloody and throwing punches. With the point deduction I guess it's a 10-8 round. Awful, awful point deduction though.
Round 3 - Both men come out aggressive. Uppercut lands for Hamill. Combination lands now for Jardine. Takedown by Hamill and he is looking to take Jardine's back. Choke can't get sunk in and Jardine gets back to standing. Time out is called to check Jardine's cut. Right hand lands for Jardine as the action resumes. Leg kick by Jardine. Jardine throws a combination but doesn't really land. The fight is briefly stopped to replace Jardine's mouthpiece. Jardine is tired but he's still throwing. Close last round but I'd actually give it to Jardine which makes the fight a 28-28 draw.
Matt Hamill Wins By Majority Decision. One judge scored the bout a tie.
Court McGee vs. Kris McCray - Round 1 - Both men throw early before they clinch up. McGee manages to get away without being taken down. Right hand by McGee. Now Kris charges in and locks up but McGee reverses with a trip takedown and McCray has him in the full guard. No real damage and as they scramble McGee takes him right back down. McGee lands a big right hand and passes to half guard. Back to standing they go and McCray lands a few inside right hands but McGee pushes him right back to the cage and takes him down again. McGee tries to get to full mount and McCray shifts him off and lands some big shots as they're standing. A few nice punches land for McGee as he counters a punch from Kris. Both men throwing punches as the round ends. 10-9 McGee.
Round 2 - Both men throwing and not landing. McGee gets his back standing and uses it to transition to full mount as they go to the ground. Court looks for an arm triangle but can't finish it. Court continues to have mount but he isn't doing much with it. Attempts to take the back now and McCray gets out and to standing. McGee with a quick takedown again. McGee has the back again and he's working to sink a choke in and he finally gets it and McCray is forced to submit.
Court McGee wins by submission (rear naked choke), round 2.
