UFC 115 Results: Matt Wiman Chokes Out Mac Danzig, or Did Ref Yves Lavigne Blow the Call?

Mac Danzig was caught in a guillotine by Matt Wiman when referee Yves Lavinge called him out. But both Mac Danzig and announcer Joe Rogan protested the call. Instant replay tended to confirm that the call was bad.

Two veteran UFC lightweights met to open the UFC 115 undercard broadcast on Spike TV. Mac Danzig, a former Ultimate Fighter winner, entered the fight in danger of being dropped by the promotion after a string of losses leavened by one win. 

Winner Matt Wiman called it "very unfortunate" and said he didn't want to end that way and offered a rematch. He acknowledged that he had told Yves Lavinge that Danzig was out. 

Mac Danzig said "Yves Lavigne has a very hard job" then claimed he was posting on Matt's knee and couldn't move his arm when Lavigne went to check.
