Alistair Overeem, the prodigal Strikeforce heavyweight champion, made short work of Brett Rogers in an impressive return to the promotion at Strikeforce: Heavy Artillery.

Overeem who hasn't bothered to defend his belt since 2007 while he fought for DREAM and kickboxed in K-1, made a strong case to be considered one of the world's top heavyweights.

Rogers literally landed one punch in the entire fight. Overeem landed dozens, mostly on the ground. "Big" John McCarthy stopped the fight at 3:40 of the first round.

After the fight, Overeem called out Fedor Emelianenko, saying that Fedor's management had declined to fight him. Hopefully that fight will be put together soon.
