K.J. Noons not on April 11th Strikeforce Card:

"Josh Thomson will fight. We offered it to K.J. Noons, (but) it looks like that fight will not happen. K.J. is focusing on his boxing career, so he will not be available," Coker stated.

Gilbert Melendez has been reported as scheduled for the card, as of yet without an opponent. Perhaps the Noons departure makes way for a Melendez-Thomson rematch. Melendez is 1-2 in his past 3 fights and has not fought since his loss to Thomson on June 27th of last year.

The Showtime event on April 11th will feature the main event of Frank Shamrock vs. Nick Diaz at a 179lb catch weight. It will be fought out Strikeforce's familiar HP Pavillion in San Jose, California.

The middleweight match of Scott Smith and Benji Radach is also expected.

Cris "Cyborg" Santos off XMMA:

XMMA has announced that EliteXC veteran Cris “Cyborg” Santos has suffered a shoulder injury and has been forced to withdraw from her bout with Marloes Coenen at XMMA 7: Inferno.

While "Cyborg" is not available for the February 27th edition of XMMA, the possibility of a Carano vs. Santos megafight on Strikeforce's April 11th venture will depend on the severity Santo's shoulder injury and the status of Carano's contract.
