My mother was Armenian and I have her maiden name tattooed across the entire top of my back (Jierjian was her name for the record). I support any and all Armenian fighters and when Karo tangles with the ultra-talented Thiago Alves, I'll be rooting for him more than ever.
This highlight reel shows the enormous talent of the Armenian welterweight with particular attention paid to his victory over current UFC welterweight champ Matt "The Terror" Serra. Serra proved to be a worthy adversary, but Karo is extremely tough and proved it by weathering a storm St. Pierre could not.
Karo Parisyan is a little gun shy in the wake of losing a title shot, but let us not forget what he can offer when the opportunity presents itself. Hopefully April 2nd is one of those days.
