The problem with Malaipet is that his ground game is likely to be very weak. Worse, as a Thai fighter throwing lots of kicks he leaves himself open for the single leg a lot. I'm sure his hands are good, but his kicking is central to his offense. And against a veteran like Denny - a B level opponent but one with overall serviceable skills - that will likely cost Malaipet the fight. We'll see.
