ShoXC Live Blogging Tonight At 11 p.m. EST

Your's truly will be covering the ShoXC event tonight here on BloodyElbow.com beginning at 11pm, so come on by and share your thoughts about the event or just check out the results.

I would like to say I've got a great preview of the event, but I don't. I've been incredibly busy with work (I know, I know: who hasn't?), so I just haven't gotten around to putting anything together for you guys. That being said, Sam Caplan has a decent preview as does Tomas Rios, so give their rundowns a look.

One note about the event: on the undercard there is a fighter by the name of Wilson Reis. Not only is Wilson Sam Caplan's wife's BJJ instructor, I've also rolled with him personally since he joined the Team Lloyd Irvin family. Wilson is a little guy and to be honest, I've never seen him train his hands, but insofar as wrestling and BJJ is concerned the guy is a beast. Now, I'm not some expert on all things BJJ, but training at TLI gives you some perspective on good jiu-jitsu and great jiu-jitsu. There are only a handful of academies in America where you get to train with top tier talent on a regular basis and TLI is one of those spots. I can easily say Wilson is one of the best jiu-jitsu players I've ever rolled with. He reminds me of a smaller Thiago Tavares with his aggressive takedowns, guard passing and back-taking. I don't know if we'll get a chance to see him tonight since he's fighting on the undercard, but I want to wish Wilson best of luck tonight. This is a great achievement for him just to be here and I hope he's able to make the most of it.

Ok, enough with the rambling. Join me back here at 11 p.m. for all the coverage of ShoXC you want. And yes, I have a life. I could go out, but it's cold, I'm exhausted and the women in Washington, D.C. are busted anyway. I'd rather just watch fights.

See you tonight.
