Don't Threaten Me

Steve Sievert hints at a bone chilling possibility at the next Art of War:

American Jeff Monson and Brazil's Pedro Rizzo will meet in the heavyweight main event that headlines a 10-fight card being billed as the U.S. versus Brazil.

The scheduling changes have left the promotion in the awkward position of having Monson fighting on another card Aug. 17.

"We just had to make it work," said Buckeye Epstein, president of AOW promoter Sun Sports & Entertainment. "We think this fight will go off, but we have a backup plan. If Jeff can't fight, we have Ricco (Rodriguez) on board as a substitute."
I don't know if you've seen it but the first Ricco Rodriguez/Pedro Rizzo match was the second worst title fight in UFC history.
