Nick Diaz Extends His Contract with Elite XC

The terms are good for the Stockton native:

Diaz will fight next on Nov. 10 in Corpus Christi, Texas in an EliteXC 160-pound title fight.

Both EliteXC vice president Jared Shaw and Diaz's manager Cesar Gracie (Pictures) declined to comment on the 24-year-old Stockton, Calif.'s opponent, though was told it is a fighter currently signed to EliteXC.

The new contract guarantees Diaz three to five fights a year in 2008 and 2009, Gracie said.

"It's a lot more than he was making before obviously and it's a lot closer to what he's worth," Gracie told "People want to see him fight.

"Showtime stepped up and met the financial commitments."

See Nick, not everyone is out to get you.
