Bloody Elbow presents their UFC on FX 6 fight card primer, previewing all the action at UFC on FX 6: Sotiropoulos vs. Pearson. Here, we look at the main card, including two Ultimate Fighter finals, plus Hector Lombard vs. Rousimar Palhares.

UFC on FX 6 serves as the final for The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes, as coaches George Sotiropoulos and Ross Pearson meet in the main event, plus the two TUF champions are crowned. In this fight card primer, we break down the three non-main event fights on the FX main card. Be sure to check back later for Sotiropoulos vs. Pearson. The UFC on FX 6 main card airs this Friday night, December 14, starting at 9:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. PT.

Robert Whittaker (9-2 MMA; UFC Debut) vs. Brad Scott (8-1 MMA; UFC Debut) - Welterweight Final

This is the TUF Welterweight final, with Aussie Whittaker vs. UK's Scott. Whittaker got here with a pair of first round stoppage wins on the show. Prior to that, he had a good record on the Australian scene, but is yet to face any noteworthy opponents. The 21 year old is a 3 year pro, and claims Hapkido as one of his styles. Cool. Scott took two decision wins on the show, including a close split decision in the semi-finals. Like Whittaker, he has a good regional record in the UK, but has never faced an opponent of note. One interesting note, between the two men, they have only ever gone the distance once, which was a Whittaker loss.

Colin Fletcher (8-1 MMA; UFC Debut) vs. Norman Parke (16-2 MMA; UFC Debut) - Lightweight Final

This TUF Lightweight final is an all UK affair, as Pearson's team dominated the LW side. Parke comes in off a pair of decision wins, while Fletcher has one decision and one submission. Parke has more experience, as he is a 6 year pro, but it's Fletcher who has more big fight experience, including a win in BAMMA over the experienced Jason Ball. One advantage in Parke's corner is his training with submission expert Robert Drysdale. There's an interesting dynamic from the show at play here as well, as Parke (along with other members of Team UK) almost got the entire team ejected from the show for sneaking in a phone during the filming and leaking results. Fletcher was one of the few Team UK fighters who had no involvement, though nearly lost his shot due primarily to Parke. Just a small detail that adds a little extra intrigue to the finals.

Hector Lombard (31-3-1(1) MMA; 0-1 UFC) vs. Rousimar Palhares (14-4 MMA; 7-3 UFC) - Middleweight

Hector Lombard made his much anticipated UFC debut at UFC 149. The former Bellator champion was a big signing that had people very excited, but he proceeded to totally stink up the joint against Tim Boetsch, losing a seriously boring split decision. He looks to recpature some of that momentum by using his KO power against submission artist Palhares. A cult favorite, Palhares is a nasty fighter on the ground, particularly with his knee bars. You never know what's going to happen in a Toquinho fight. He's also coming off a loss, getting beaten on the ground by Alan Belcher.
