UFC on FUEL 8: Yushin Okami vs. Hector Lombard added to Japan card

Ron Chenoy-US PRESSWIRE

It's going to be Thunder vs. Lightning at the next UFC event in Japan as Yushin Okami is set to take on Hector Lombard.

Another Japanese star has been added to the UFC's next trip to the Land of the Rising Sun, as Yushin Okami is now set to compete against former Bellator champion, Hector Lombard. The UFC made the announcement late Monday night, pitting the two top ranked middleweights and Judo black belts, who interestingly enough also have the nicknames "Thunder" and "Lightning".

Both men fought last December, with Okami fresh off a dominant victory against Alan Belcher at UFC 155 and Lombard coming off a stoppage victory over Rousimar Palhares at UFC on FX 6.

The UFC on FUEL TV 8 card will be host a 5-round fight between former PRIDE king, Wanderlei Silva and Brian Stann, along with Stefan Struve vs. Mark Hunt and several fighters from their last Asian card as well.

Takanori Gomi, Riki Fukuda, and Dong Hyun Kim, who all competed at UFC Macau, will once again be logging cage time. Korean prospects Hyun Gyu Lim and Kyung Ho Kang are also set to make their much anticipated UFC debuts, and they have been re-booked against their original opponents after both fighters had pull out of UFC Macau.
