He has been on a five-fight winning streak since 2011 though, which earned him a spot on TUF Brazil 2. He made it to the semis, but dropped a decision to William Macario. This is his official UFC debut.

Bristol Marunde is one of the few non-Brazilians on the undercard. He came up in the Northwest scene, fighting the likes of Matt Horwich and Benji Radach early in his career in the IFL. Later on, winning 8 out of 9 earned him a spot in Strikeforce as a late replacement against Ronaldo Souza. He lost, but entered the UFC as a contestant on season 16 of the Ultimate Fighter. An injury postponed his official UFC debut until the TUF 17 Finale, where he lost to Clint Hester. He has now made the drop to welterweight in hopes of starting a run there.

Why should you care?

Honestly, I have no idea. It could be interesting, it could be horrible. Who knows.
