The Bloody Elbow team gives you a brief preview of all the night's action from UFC 154 in Montreal, Quebec, including a featherweight matchup between Antonio Carvalho and Rodrigo Damm.

The final preliminary card fight of the Facebook broadcast is in the featherweight division, as Antonio Carvalho (14-5 MMA, 1-1 UFC) battles Rodrigo Damm (10-5 MMA, 1-0 UFC) of TUF: Brazil fame. It's the first of two featherweight tilts on the whole card, with Mark Hominick and Pablo Garza on PPV.

These two are coming off impressive stoppage victories, and You can view this along with the three preceding fights on the UFC's official Facebook page at 6 PM ET/3 PM PT. The prelims continue from there on FX at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT. (Editor's Note: With Nick Ring unable to compete at UFC 154, the card has been reshuffled and Carvalho/Damm has been bumped up to prelims on FX.)

How do these two stack up?

Carvalho: 33 years old | 5'9" | 70" reach
Damm: 32 years old | 5'7" | 71" reach

What have these two done recently?

Carvalho: W - Daniel Pineda (KO) | L - Felipe Arantes (UD) | W - Doug Evans (UD)
Damm: W - Anistavio Meideiros (SUB) | L - Justin Wilcox (INJ. TKO) | L - Maximo Blanco (TKO)

How did these two get here?

Carvalho is a well-travelled veteran who holds a win over Japanese FW contender Hatsu Hioki. Other Japanese notables he's fought include Takeshi Inoue and Hiroyuki Takaya, going a combined 1-2 in those fights. Carvalho has taken 4 out of his last 5, but that one loss came in his UFC debut against Felipe Arantes. He responded in emphatic fashion by knocking out Daniel Pineda in just 71 seconds at UFC 149.

Damm was picked to go far in TUF: Brazil, and the prognostications proved to be right as he advanced to the semifinals. Sadly he was forced out of the tournament after he suffered kidney damage cutting weight. He still earned a spot on the season finale, defeating Anistavio Meideiros by submission. Prior to TUF he has two fights in Strikeforce, losing to Gilbert Melendez and Justin Wilcox.

Why should you care?

It's a good matchup between two lower-tier featherweights who impressed in their most recent fights.
