Newly signed heavyweight prospect Stipe Miocic will make his UFC debut in Houston this October against Joey Beltran. The UFC announced the booking this morning.

Heavyweight knockout artist, Stipe Miocic (6-0), who was ranked #5 on BloodyElbow.com's Heavyweight Scouting Report, has signed a four-fight contract with the UFC. The NAAFS, whose heavyweight title Miocic won earlier this month after making Bobby Brents tap out due to leg kicks, announced the signing last night. No debut date or opponent has been set yet for the Ohio-based fighter who trains with Strong Style Fight Team, but we'll keep you updated when that news breaks.

North American Allied Fight Series (NAAFS) Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic (6-0) has signed a multi-fight contract with UFC, according to the NAAFS website. Miocic, a former Division I Wrestler, is a top prospect who has finished every one of his fights in under two rounds.

Another tumultuous week for World MMA Scouting Report selections is in the books. In the weekend's big upset, UFC and WEC vet Tim McKenzie needed only 11 seconds to derail #7 MW Jordan Smith. In Belgrade, Serbia, WFC Heavyweight Champion and #4 ranked Gerald Turek dropped his belt to unheralded Jair Goncalves (pictured) via armbar. But it was business as usual for #5 HW Stipe Miocic, knocking out late replacement William Penn in the opening round.
