Satoru Kitaoka submitted Cage Force lightweight champion Kuniyoshi Hironaka via second-round guillotine choke at Sunday's Pancrase Passion Tour show in Tokyo. After the win, the former Sengoku champ announced his retirement from Pancrase and defection from his longtime gym, PANCRASEism. Kitaoka also said that he hopes to fight on New Year's Eve, presumably at Dream parent company Fighting and Entertainment Group's annual Dynamite event. Elsewhere on the card, freestyle wrestling convert and Sengoku featherweight prospect Shigeki Osawa improved to 6-1 with a first-round TKO'ing of Masaomi Saito. Photo by GBRing.

Kitaoka, Osawa Added to Sengoku 11 LW: Satoru Kitaoka (25-9-9) vs. Jorge Masvidal (18-4) FW: Shigeki Osawa (4-0) Ronnie Mann (16-2-1) This should be a very telling fight for Osawa, one of WVR's top prospects. If he can beat a solid fighter like Mann, he'll stick around on the Sengoku main cards. If not, it's likely back to the undercard or Pancrase for some more seasoning.

Sengoku lightweight contender Kazunori Yokota (left) dropped a unanimous decision to Yu Hirono as the superfight of Friday's Krush kickboxing event in Tokyo. Yokota could be next in line for a shot at Satoru Kitaoka's Sengoku belt, should Kitaoka defeat Mizuto Hirota on August 1's Sengoku IX.
