Don't know if this has been posted here (I couldn't find anything through search) but Popular Science has a piece online about MMA (yeah...about a month ago I know). It specifically touches on:
- Greg Jackson's use of game theory in training fighters and formulating gameplans
- The emergence of FightMetric in analyzing MMA fights
- The statistical research that has been done in the sport
Some interesting stuff here in my opinion.
