Thiago Tavares is pulling out of his UFC 114 bout with Melvin Guillard due to an elbow injury suffered in training, according to BJPenn.com, who spoke with his manager. No replacement opponent for Guillard has been named yet.
"The information was disclosed exclusively to BJPENN.COM while on the phone with Alex Davis, the man who represents all of the ATT fighters. He stated that Tavares recently "hyper extended" his elbow in training. Which is the second injury of this sort to plague the lightweight prospect and as a result he will not be able to compete on the "Rampage vs. Evans" card."
