Ronda Rousey's interview from Strikeforce: Barnett Vs. Cormier
Strikeforce women's welterweight Meisha Tate talks about her training regimen, the Strikeforce sale to the UFC, the future of women's MMA and much more. Includes footage of Tate grappling with Ryan Couture at Xtreme Couture.
According to Miesha Tate's MySpace page and sources speaking to MMAWeekly.com, Kim Couture is bowing out of their Strikeforce Challenger Series bout because of "martial problems" (an unfortunate, but nonetheless funny, typo). Tate, in a post on her MySpace page laments: "So Kim 'Sugar Free' Couture is pulling out of the fight supposedly cuz her and Randy are getting a divorce...........I'm so pissed right now......Sugar Free my ass!!" [UPDATE] by Chris Nelson - MIesha Tate has posted on the UG apologizing for her statement: "So I missunderstood about what I had previously stated, I have a few friends that train at Extreme Couture one of which told me Randy and Kim were having issues and then she backed out of the fight on me and I was VERY upset because most of you know this fight meant the world to me, it was my big break and I was really upset when I found out and jumped to conclusions. My apologies to Randy and Kim, When I wrote about them I meant no ill intentions and didn't mean to blast their personal life, I was just focused on the fact I wasn't going to get the fight. I forget how famous they are and didn't even think how that might effect them and their personal life which was immature and stress my apology to them and who ever else it may concern " [UPDATE 2] by Cannon Jacques - Beau Dure of USA Today and Michael David Smith of MMA Fanhouse have both confirmed with Strikeforce that Kim Couture is, in fact, pulling out of her upcoming match against Miesha Tate.
