"I want to take out a top contender," Stephens said. "With Siver being an exciting fighter and doing pretty well, I think we'd put on a good one. I think he's perfect guy for me and a great scrap. It'd be an exciting matchup."
"He's a banger," he said of Siver. "He likes to throw. He's on a win streak, and I'm not doing too bad myself. I'd like to take his ass out and show the world I'm ready to take out the competition and move to the top."

"I've got a few bonuses, and it feels good... I have nine fights in the UFC, and I'm 23 years old. I'll only be 24 on the 26th, so I just want to be patient. Whoever they want, I'm willing to go after. I moved out to San Diego, and I've been working on getting my black belt through (UFC veteran) Dean Lister. That's one of my goals. I'm around better people. I'm with a better camp. I'm surrounded myself with the best people... I do plan to make a run at the title, but I'm just going to be very patient"
