After losing Matt Lindland and Thales Leites as potential opponents, Polish standout Mamed Khalidov will be hoping that the third time's a charm with James "The Sandman" Irvin now being penciled in to face him in the main event of KSW 15 on March 19th in Warsaw, according to Chris Nelson at Sherdog. It was recently revealed that Irvin tested positive for steroids following a December fight, leading to the cancellation of his upcoming Shark Fights bout against Houston Alexander. There's no word yet about potential penalties from the CSAC for the positive test. Photo: UFC.com
"James Irvin has suffered another massive setback, this time with a knee injury. He will obviously not be able to face Wilson Gouveia at UFC 102." "Irvin is expected to undergo reconstructive surgery sometime in the next few days, and is also expected to miss 6-10 months." -- Carmichael Dave on the UG
