"Jake had a leg a couple of times, GSP got out very well, it looked like a couple of times his leg just kind of slipped right out of there, you know, so it must have been really slippery or something, I don’t know." - Cesar Gracie on the Brian Hemminger Radio Show (transcribed by Fight Opinion) ...here we go again.

Cesar Gracie, trainer of Jake Shields, tells Sherdog that he's unhappy that Renzo Gracie trained Georges St. Pierre for this weekend's fight, despite the fact that Renzo and GSP have been training together for some time: "Renzo’s like a brother to me. You have to understand, we grew up together. Nothing’s going to change. People try to make a big thing about it, but I did have a talk with Renzo and I said, ‘Renzo, you’re training a guy that doesn’t represent your academy, that represents another academy, to fight a guy that represents a Gracie academy. It doesn’t make sense to me. It just doesn’t.’ . … I did have that discussion with Renzo. I don’t know if anything came about from it, but that was pretty much it. I’m an old-school guy. … I don’t know exactly what they’re doing over there with that. It’s just not my way. I’m old school and I’m going to die old school. That’s who I am." Jake Ellenberger repeatedly calls out Jake Shields on Twitter. "Cagewriter spoke with Ellenberger via text, and he said that both Jake Shields and the UFC have not responded to his tweets. "But it's only a matter of time. Fake Shields is a fraud. Excuse me, Miss Piggy is a fraud," Ellenberger said. Why Miss Piggy? "When he fights, he reminds me of Miss Piggy, with hs softness and feminine charm." Ellenberger's beef with Shields comes from before both fighters were with the UFC. He says that he had a signed contract to fight Shields, but Shields' father (and manager) pulled him out of the bout because it was a bad match-up. Ellenberger admits that Condit and Fitch also have a claim on a bout with Shields, but, "I hate him more." HT: Maggie Hendricks at CageWriter

Matt Wiman talks to UFC.com about maturing as a fighter, and moving to California to train with Jake Shields and Gilbert Melendez in preparation for his fight this weekend with Mac Danzig at UFC 115: "I kinda appreciate that I’m a little bit of a wildcard," he said. "I see these guys that have all the hype and all the press and I kinda like laying low a little bit. That’s all gonna change eventually if you keep beating people up and doing well, so I’m down for a slow road and not a quick jump to the top and then what happens?" And Wiman is not about to make an impression fast and burn out even faster. He’s in this for the long haul, and to ensure his longevity, he’s making every effort to keep growing as a fighter. This time around, that meant moving with his wife from Dallas to San Francisco for a change of scenery and to start working with "The Skrap Pack", led by Gilbert Melendez and Jake Shields. "It was one of those things where it kinda made everybody happy," said Wiman of the move. "My wife and I wanted to move out to either the east or west coast to have a change of scenery because we’ve been out in the Midwest for a long time. It was also to do something new and mix it up to challenge myself, because sometimes you get a little stale training with the same guys. I had great training in Texas as well, but I’ve got a new batch of guys up here that are awesome." Photo: UFC.com UFC 115: Liddell vs. Franklin coverage
