Shinya Aoki and Tatsuya Kawajiri aren't the only Japanese stars fighting for Strikeforce this weekend. Fresh off a win over Bibiano Fernandes, Hiroyuki Takaya will fight Robert Peralta on the undercard Saturday. Takaya, the DREAM champion, ranks ninth in the SBNation/USA Today Featherweight rankings.
FEG has officially announced DREAM 16 for September 25th at the 10,000-seat Nippon Gaishi Hall in Nagoya, Japan. No official participants have been named, but fighters shown on the DreamOfficial.com graphic (above) are Ikuhisa Minowa, Tatsuya Mizuno, Hideo Tokoro, Shinya Aoki, "Kid" Yamamoto, Kazushi Sakuraba, Caol Uno, Gegard Mousasi and Hiroyuki Takaya. Mousasi and Mizuno are expected to face off in the finals of Dream's light-heavyweight mini-GP, while Uno will be making his first appearance in the promotion's newly-settled 143-pound division.
