Michael Bisping vs. Jason Day

UFC.com has announced that Jason Day will be stepping in to replace Chris Leben against Michael Bisping.

"I love this fight," said Day. "Everybody's been asking me who would I like to fight next, and I said Bisping, but who would have thought it would have come about so quickly. He's a great fighter, an exciting fighter, tough as nails, and everybody wants that marquee fight where you get the guy that tests you and you slug it out for two or three rounds. I think he's a pretty good test for me."

This is a pretty huge opportunity for Day to make a name for himself.  I think there is a significant chance of an upset here, and this should be quite an interesting fight.

This show may completely bomb on PPV, though.  This will really tell us what Matt Hughes alone can draw on PPV, and it may be the bottom number since 2005.

Re: Michael Bisping v. Jason Day
Lack of big names/championship fights aside, I find several of the fights here really intriguing and I'm really looking forward to the PPV.  Day-Bisping will have lots of curiosity factor, and while the casual buys will likely be down, I don't think the card will be the disaster that the Okami-Franklin Irish Shitfest was (aside from one match), either in terms of revenue or quality.

Nah I think they are nearly sold out anyway, and I agree a lot of the fights look quite good.

They'll do over 200K PPV buys.

I think this card may surprise some people.  I think we're gonna see some really nice fights.  Definitely looking forward to this Bisping / Day fight.  Day really impressed me in his last fight.  Hopefully he can keep things going.  I like Bisping, but I gotta cheer on Day, cause you gotta appreciate someone who can effectively use the rubber guard, haha.

Day is a serious threat to beat Bisping IMO.

Re: Michael Bisping vs. Jason Day
Yeah, I'm excited to see Day here. He looked great in his last fight. If he can beat Bisping - definitely if he destroys him like he did Belcher - they'll start building him for a title shot. He's on the fast track if he beats Bisping. Plus, I think Dana's a little gay for him.
