UFC Airs Counter Programming

Well, this is sure a sign they want Pro Elite to fail.  Spike TV will air an Ultimate Iceman special on May 31, followed by a special version of UFC unleashed highlighting Liddell v. Silva.  It's a 2 hour block of programming meant to attract another few hundred thousand viewers away from CBS.

This is just the first sign of what could be the benefits for MMA fans if Elite XC is successful.

Re: UFC Airs Counter Programming
That should be at least as interesting as watching Kevin Ferguson knock out James Thompson.

Re: UFC Airs Counter Programming
Imagine if Thompson actually beat Kimbo?  Not gonna happen, but the fallout from that would be hilarious.

Re: UFC Airs Counter Programming
That would almost be worth watching, but I think the aftermath will be more interesting anyway.  I doubt we'll see that, though.
