CB Dollaway and Matt Riddle Talk Jeremy May

Matt Riddle has moved out of his Mom's house, to Arizona where he is currently training with CB Dollaway. More importantly, this weekend he'll be going to the DMV to attempt getting his Driver's License.
Matt "the Future" Riddle is gonna be a force in the next couple years. His XBOX360 was mailed today. I actually had the system for a couple weeks but Matt wanted me to wait until he got settled into his new digs in Arizona and could get me a solid address there. Again I officially report the XBOX360 has been mailed to Matt Riddle via Priority Mail through our trusty US Post Office system. I have the tracking number and will be ensuring its delivery myself. Good Luck, take it light bro. No need to thank me the kid earned it.

lol, that is great!

Man, if Riddle gets into the strategy of the game and gets some good training, he could be scary.

I agree.  Riddle had only one pro fight under his belt, taking on a guy with over a dozen pro fights, and he really surprised me.  He showed a lot of natural skill. With the right training camp, he could be a force.  Kinda have to admit his goofy grin is a bit annoying, but it makes his personality.

Matt Riddle has got to be the most brain-dead fighter to ever appear on TUF.  And I don't mean that to be a joke - he really is.

That's a pretty high standard. I mean, have you watched EVERY season closely? I haven't seen everybody's SAT scores, so I'll reserve judgment.

I thought the kid fought a good fight, given his experience level. And I don't fault him for not having a lot of focus at the very end of the fight. The kid looks to have a lot of natural talent - I'd like to see more of him, after some training.

I am embarrassed to say "yes" I have seen every season, and I feel that I can say this with a certain degree of certainty.  I don't mean this to refer to his fighting ability (I thought he fought a good fight), simply his interviews and other interactions on the show.  The only TUF fighter that comes even close is Gray Maynard (he came across as a space cadet and his interviews today are painful - most of the time his mumbling trails off and he forgets what he was talking about).

And yet Gray looks like he's a force to be reckoned with. Smarts: not a requirement in MMA if you've got the ability.

Having said that, I'll almost always put my money on the smarter fighter. BJ has some natural ability, it's true, but he's not some freak of nature. The guy has trained and studied and thought his way into the top of the game. A better example would probably be Florian: just about NO natural gifts, but the smarts and determination to get to the top.

He's also one of the younger contestants to participate, which certainly makes him seem less intelligent.  I'm not saying he's that he's an accomplished academic (far from it), just that you shouldn't mistake immaturity for stupidity.
