Gary Goodridge KO'ed by Mu Bae Choi

At The Khan this past Saturday (3/30/2008). It can't be good that Goodridge is fighting again at YAMMA on April 11th.

-- Since the video takes forever to load, I've included a couple pics after the jump.

Re: Gary Goodridge KO'ed by Mu Bae Choi
I can only assume this isn't a fully sanctioned event (YAMMA) because no commission will sanction a guy who got KO'ed this recently to fight.

By the way...does it bother anyone else that YAMMA has decided to run with the tagline of "In the street it's against the law, in the pit it is the law"

A little too old school bloodsporty for me.

They're running this in New Jersey, so I can't see how they would get away with not being sanctioned.

Anyways, I was under the impression that Gary dropped out of this fight like a week ago.  Either way, if the NJSAC is doing it's job he won't be allowed to fight on this show.

I think (and I could be wrong here) that you don't HAVE to be sanctioned.  I think you can choose to not be sanctioned.

But like I said I'm not 100% on that.

Brent, in Jersey, sanctioning is not optional. If you want to run a combat sports event in New Jersey, you've got to have approval.

But the NJACB has gone on the record to say that Goodridge will not be licensed for the event due to safety and health concerns.

Word is that Goodridge is now out of Yamma; I wonder how this works with his involvement with MFC (he's supposed to fight for them next month, I think)?
