Re: Analysis of Defeat
I think he relives that lose more than anyone has ever relived a lose.

Re: Analysis of Defeat
If he doesn't beat Serra this time, I think I'm going to cry.  I wonder if Serra will look to stand again from the onset this time?  I get the feeling his main motivation going into this fight is to justify his previous win (to be fair to him, that fight was always GSP's loss rather than Serra's win from the media/critics viewpoint) and as such, perhaps he will look to knock out GSP standing again.

On a completely unrelated note (sorry), but is there any chance we could get RSS feeds for the main site?  Me likey RSS.

Hey, I can't remember how I got this but here you go:

I use Google Reader so I probably got lucky with the search function.

Also: main page, right side, all the way to the end of the column: Bloody Elbow Feeds. But they need to fix it for autodiscovery (I'll help if anyone needs me to!).

Re: Analysis of Defeat
Did anybody else catch what GSP said about the first shot that rocked him? He said that it hit him "right behind the ear." Not the back of the head which is how everybody else has described it. Everyone has been so willing to "forgive" GSP for the loss that I've even heard people describe it as an illegal punch. The truth of the matter is that GSP just didn't respect Matt Serra, didn't train for a fighter of his caliber, and got caught unawares.

Let's hope for everybody's sake that they both come out better prepared next weekend.

Re: Analysis of Defeat
I've never thought the first shot was illegal to the back of the head.  A hard shot around the ear area will really fuck up your equilibrium though, which explains why Georges stumbled around the cage afterwards.
