Re: Inside MMA: Thomas Denny, Jeremy Lappen and Mo
Dr. Benjamin mentioned the lack of power ground-n-pound has over the beatings in boxing.  I'm not comparing the brain damage in boxing to MMA, I'm just wondering how his statement about GnP compares to the info the Fight Science people put together. Specifically the Natural's 1-ton (2,000 Imperial lb.) GnP elbows.  They were from kneeling in either the mount or half-guard and were insane, and seem to directly contradict Doc's claim since they blow away anything boxers deliver standing, don't they?

I'd love to hear some thoughts on this from you cats.  I'm not debating the main thrust of his point -which I wholeheartedly agree with- just his choice of illuminating details.

Thanks.
