UFC Fight Club Buys 13,000 Tickets for UFC 83

According to a press conference in Montreal this morning:

Tickets don't go on sale to the general public until Thursday of this week, but according to Dana White, UFC Fight Club members (the only ones to whom tickets are currently available) have already purchased more than 13,000 tickets for UFC 83, which is set to take place at the 21,273-seat Bell Centre.

"13,375 tickets, in that ballpark," said White of the total ticket sales thus far."

To build a club membership that buys 63% of your tickets and the fact that the majority of the seats are in the $550 range, which is $150 more than UFC 82 in Ohio is a huge statement.

I wanted to make sure I got tickets so I paid for the membership (I already had plane and hotel booked so it was imperative that I got tickets).
I don't know if I agree with 13k tickets sold, at least not only to club members. I will say that the club membership has grown significantly due to the Montreal show though, 80% of the forum posts there are about Montreal.
To put it in perspective of the people who are active on the fight club's site, 422 are confirmed as going to Columbus, whereas 583 are already confirmed to be going to Montreal yet there is still a good 2.5 months till the show.
Montreal will likely sell out, it's already known to do well for smaller shows (TKO regularly sells 4000+ tickets).
