Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard at UFC Fight Night 13

As if that card wasn't stacked enough, it just got "stacked-er":

A lightweight match between standout wrestlers Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard has been signed to be added to the UFC Fight Night 13 card, Edgar has revealed exclusively to FiveOuncesOfPain.com (www.FiveOuncesOfPain.com).

Edgar revealed that he anticipates a wrestling war between the two. He also said that he believes he could get to showcase his jiu-jitsu skills, as he anticipates ending up on his back vs. Maynard.

The New Jersey-native plans to spend some time in California training for the fight and will work with Dave Camirillo at the American Kickboxing Academy in March.

Good on Edgar to really develop the weaker part of his game. I tend to think Edgar's going to make the takedowns difficult for Maynard and in the interim, Maynard will be eating crisp punches from Edgar's really underrated boxing.

And, oh, by the way: I AM GOING TO THIS EVENT. HOLLA AT YOUR MAMA.

I didn't get at all why they'd give Maynard this fight since he's still growing and has a chance to be something.

Someone mentioned they're punishing him subconsciously for being a part of Xtreme Couture and since I'm a loser conspiracy theorist that's what I'm going with.

That's a very interesting theory. It certainly doesn't do much to set up Edgar for a title shot though.
I can't believe they're pushing Florian to get another shot. Go Creepy Joe!
