Insider Comments on Brock Lesnar's Training

From Kaitlin Young who trains at the Minnesota Martial Arts Academy:

"He's huge," she says. "I'm in the gym at the same time as him, but we don't train together. I don't think that would even make sense."

"He has a slew of big men that come in and they just all do their thing with him," she explains. "They're all over 250-pounds. I know he's been doing some training at Athletic Performance Inc. as well. It's amazing how well he does. He's really in shape for how enormous he is. Usually, the big boys gas really easily. But not him."

"I think it's funny," she says, "because you see on the internet that everyone is like 'he's just a wrestler, blah, blah, blah', but people are going to be very surprised at how well all the other elements of his game are coming along. They're grossly underestimating him. He's in there firing away at the pads and he's fast. His kicks bring [trainer] Greg [Nelson] right up off the ground, and sparring he looks really good too."

The question is, can all the training in the world take the place of experience.

Alright I'm sick of hearing about this guy. Let's see him fight already. Time to put up or shut up. I think i'm gonna not visit any MMA sites until after UFC 81.

I am perfectly willing to believe everything she's saying, but I'm also ALWAYS skeptical of a fighter's scouting report when it comes from their own camp.
