Tank Abbott on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live"

From an email in my inbox:

This just in: The always colorful, entertaining and unpredictable David "Tank" Abbott will be a special guest on the nationally televised Jimmy Kimmel Live show tonight/Thursday at 12:05 a.m. ET/PT on ABC.

Tank (tankabbott.proelite.com), one of the original Mixed Martial Arts bad boys and most ferocious knockout artists in history, will discuss, among other things, his eagerly anticipated, long-awaited grudge fight with Kimbo Slice (kimboslice.proelite.com) set for Saturday, Feb. 16, at the BankUnited Center at the University of Miami on SHOWTIME.

Other guests Thursday will include reality show star Heidi Montague of the "The Hills."

Tank Abbott and Heidi Montague on stage at the same time. Yes, my DVR will be catching this. Believe it.

Re: Tank Abbott to Appear on ABC
thanks for the vid.....the EXC guys  were probably calling a few favors to hype up the Tank-KImbo fight, i know one of the main money guys for EXC is either a current or former producer for KImmel.  I would expect they will have Kimbo on when the fight gets closer.

I like the part when Tank was telling about how the UFC wanted to sell him as a street fighter and how the martial arts guys were supposed to prove that martial arts would overcome the street fighter.  That was totally the appeal of Tank for me, Tank KO'ing some puffed up student fresh from the dojo ready to use his training.  The Duarte fight was a thing of beauty.

Especially since Duarte talked a lot of shit beforehand about showing Tank a lesson.

Re: Tank Abbott to Appear on ABC
And to harp on my current obsession -- had Duarte used his position to unload some ground and pound on Tank -- GnP he'd shown in other fights -- he would've won easily.
Ironically Kimo and Mir both beat Tank later on using the Duarte go for the quick sub approach, they just went for leglocks instead of armbars.
