Kazuo Misaki vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama

Another great fight, this one with a spectacular finish. You have to know the Japanese loved Misaki KO'ing Akiyama, a fighter with blood lines tied to Korea. It's also a great win for Misaki given Akiyama's coming off the victory over Denis Kang. As for the fight, Akiyama holds his own and comes very close to stopping Misaki with crisp, hard punching, but he essentially over commits and pays for it.

The Japanese also hate Akiyama for oiling up against Sakuraba.

Re: Kazuo Misaki vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama
Misaki was really using weird movement on the feet -- he seems VERY worried about leg kicks judging by all the hopping he did, I lost count of how many times he changed his stance. Very effective approach to a fighter with such a tight standup game like Akiyama.
Now the question is, where to rank these two. If Akiyama had won he'd be an obvious consensus top 10 but Misaki was heading in the other direction until this win.
