In Case You Missed It...

Here's the audio from yesterday's Any Given Saturday.  Lots of distinguished guests, lots of great talk, and lots of UFC/mixed martial arts/BodogFIGHT talk in the mix.  Give it a listen.

Re: In Case You Missed It...
Great job on the show guys. I found this broadcast through Sprawl-N-Brawl.com. I think the radio show as a whole is a great way to talk MMA. The panel today was great and everyone spoke very well about several key issues in the MMA world.  The show brought up a couple items I would like to weigh in on.
The first is the booing issue. I totally agree that mindless fans boo the dumbest things sometimes, and booing because a fight is on the ground too often is ridiculous. But it seemed to me that one guest on the radio show was saying the UFC fans in Columbus were booing ignorantly...? I may have misheard him but I was in attendance at UFC 68 and I think that the crowd was a great example of how to cheer on MMA. The only booing that came during matches was when Sylvia/Couture fight was stood up.... that was because we knew Couture was working down there. I have also seen internet talk putting the crowd down for booing Anderson Silva when he was shown on the big screen and in the octagon....We are Rich Franklin fans....that was why we were booing. Do we cheer the Steelers when they are in town?...NO, Ohio has alot of hometown pride and I think that is great for MMA. There wasn't one of us that wouldn't have begged Anderson for an autograph and been jumping up like little school girls to meet him. I think everyone respects Anderson Silva.
The next thing was a question. I can see that Rampage doesn't get as much press as Liddell does, but what is it that the UFC doesn't do with him that they did with Chuck? I mean Chuck was on Entourage and the Cover of ESPN the mag, but that has nothing to do with the UFC from what I would gather...that is the tv show or magazine wanting Chuck? I don't argue that Rampage is getting somewhat of a cold shoulder from the UFC and Dana, I just am not sure what they should be doing to promote him better.
Well that's all I have, again great job on the show guys!
