  • Eddie Alvarez +140
  • Katsuyori Shibata +650

Alvarez is a great bet, Buscape and Shibata are interesting and who would have thought we would see Mayhem Miller at -1150 against anyone.

Catch DREAM 3 on May 11th. Click here for the official site.

Update [2008-5-8 13:22:19 by Brent Brookhouse]: Alvarez has fallen to +110 as of the last time I checked so that line is starting to flatten out a little bit.

Re: DREAM 3 Betting Odds
Unforunate that Diaz/Inoue wasn't confirmed in time to get a line on. Would've been intrested in seeing it for sure.

And Kawajiri as the favorite to win the tournament? Also intresting...

Very much in anticipation for DREAM.3

Re: DREAM 3 Betting Odds
After seeing Aoki's amazing performance against JZ, I have him as a clear favorite. Ishida with his relentless wrestling game and incredible quickness might be able to stymie Aoki and pull out a decision but I don't see it happening.

Re: DREAM 3 Betting Odds
Shibata's nothing to write home about, but at those odds might be worth a pick up.

Re: DREAM 3 Betting Odds
Ah...no...

Anyone who puts monies on Shibata will wake up on the 12th with less monies than they had on the 11th.

Re: DREAM 3 Betting Odds
Who doesn't like Alvarez?  That is a great number.  I like him as a dark horse to win it all.

The Shibata play is risky, but I think Miller is an underperformer.  I just think the juice is to large for any type of play on that match.

Re: DREAM 3 Betting Odds
I think Hansen is a very bad matchup for Alvarez. His awkward southpaw stance could give Eddie fits. and Hellboy is dangerous standing, especially if you're not ready for an unconventional attack. Plus Alvarez' wrestling usually allows him to decide where the fight takes place but since I give Hellboy the edge standing AND on the ground (even from his back), I don't think that will help Eddie. Alvarez/Kawajiri would be an interesting match that I think Eddie has a better chance to win, but que sera sera.

Re: DREAM 3 Betting Odds
Alvarez is an up and comer.  Hansen, from what I have seen of him lately, has looked slow.  I like Alvarez strait up, so I love him at +140.  Its to bad the line has moved so much. I just looked at the line again and Alvarez is at even money and Hansen is at a -130 line. If you would have taken the action at +140 you could make a play on Hansen now and lock up a cool profit.

The bookies are heavy with bets on Alvarez.  It looks like everyone agrees with me.  You know what that means...  I am wrong.

Re: DREAM 3 Betting Odds
I like Alvarez in this match-up, too.

Re: DREAM 3 Betting Odds
Don't listen to my boy Nate.  You're right on.  I've had Alvarez as my dark horse since the tourney was getting started.  I've got money on him to win the whole thing (I don't think he will...but those odds were even better before the tourney started...and it's a fun play).  I'm also putting a little on him to take out Hansen, but I will agree with Nate that Hansen may be the worst match-up style-wise for Alvarez.
