TUF 19 Finale results recap: Eddie Gordon vs. Dhiego Lima and Corey Anderson vs. Matt Van Buren

Bloody Elbow recaps the three big fights from TUF 19 Finale last night in Las Vegas. Here, we look at the two Ultimate fighter finals, the first between Eddie Gordon and Dhiego Lima and the second between Corey Anderson and Matt Van Buren.

The Ultimate Fighter season 19 finals lasted a total of 2 minutes and 12 seconds, as Eddie Gordon and Corey Anderson dismissed their respective opponents in dominant fashion.

Eddie Gordon wasted little time in his UFC debut, as he overwhelmed Dhiego Lima to become the TUF 19 middleweight winner. "The Truck" demolished Lima with a barrage of hammer fists and powerful shots, and while the Brazilian showed some resistance, he was ultimately floored with an uppercut, after which referee Yves Lavgine mercifully stopped the fight.

Official result: Eddie Gordon def. Dhiego Lima via TKO (Strikes, Round 1, 1:11)

Corey Anderson came out with a similar sense of urgency in his light-heavyweight final. He quickly took to his lanky opponent and began peppering him with shots before sneaking in a quick takedown. From then on, Anderson unleashed a flurry of offence that resulted in referee Mario Yamasaki stopping the fight.

What was the high point of the two fights?

The contest lasted a combined 2 minutes and 12 seconds, which leaves very little room for high points in the fight. Both winners looked fantastic in their efforts on Sunday night and showed off their improvements when it mattered. Anderson made some clear adjustments to his striking game, while Eddie Gordon proved why his nickname is "The Truck" following his rapid win against the Brazilian.

Where do these two go from here?

Both Anderson and Gordon make interesting additions to their respective divisions. While they are unlikely to cause significant ripples near the Top 10, both could be in for some compelling match-ups in the near future.

Watch now, later or never?

Watch now. With the slew of mediocre TUF finals that we have had to endure in the past, this is a walk in the park. Sit back and enjoy two quick finishes.
