Following his emphatic KO victory over George Roop at UFC 175, Rob Font made it clear he is ready to work his way through the bantamweight ranks. In order to do so, he is prepared to face any opponent the UFC brass places in front of him.
"It is definitely a tough division," Font said in the post-fight scrum. "Everybody in there is tough to fight. I'm ready and here. I felt I proved I'm ready to stay."
Responding to a suggestion that Sergio Pettis would be a good opponent, Font stated that he would love to take that fight, as it would be an entertaining one for the fans.
"I really think he is a 125er, he shouldn't be at 135(lb.). I think it would be a great fiht for the fans. I think he is awesome. Me and Sergio Pettis will be better than me and George Roop was. He is that good. He is solid."
