Canelo vs. Lara results: Recap of rounds 4 through 6

Ethan Miller

A recap of the action from rounds four through six of the Showtime pay-per-view bout between Canelo Alvarez and Erislandy Lara.

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez didn't have a perfect start to his Showtime pay-per-view bout with Erislandy Lara. In fact, Lara may well have won the first three rounds of the bout.

Canelo started to get things going in his direction quite well in round four and five as he poured on a vicious body attack that started to keep Lara from engaging and turn his movement and pot-shot style into more or less running at times.

Round six saw Lara try to get back into the more successful style of the first few rounds, trying to make an impatient Canelo chase and get frustrated, leaving opening for his own attack.

The crowd began to boo Lara loudly in round six as his movement led to a reduction in the amount of action during the fight.

Still, Lara picked spots to throw two punch combos that did land to the head of Canelo.

The fight is close through six, make sure to keep checking in for more updates from the fight.
