Gegard Mousasi and Tim Kennedy build possible fight on Twitter

Jason Silva-USA TODAY Sports

Gegard Mousasi said that he would like to fight Tim Kennedy next and based on their twitter conversation, Kennedy is okay with that matchup.

Remember when a lot of fans and media felt that the middleweight division was the weakest in MMA? Well the infusion of Strikeforce talent into the UFC's 185-pound weight class has greatly improved the depth of the division and two of the men currently inhabiting the top ten are Gegard Mousasi and Tim Kennedy. Mousasi fought at 205 in Strikeforce so their paths never crossed in SF, but they might in the near future.

Mousasi asked for a fight with Kennedy (or Luke Rockhold) after his UFC Fight Night: Berlin win over Mark Munoz, and Kennedy has taken to Twitter to add fuel to the fire:

Then things got a little odd...

I'll admit that it's a little more original than the base alpha insults that usually get thrown around. But cartoon characters? Clowns? What's next, baby toys? Calling each other fathead?

Either way, this is a bout I'd really like to see and I don't care how they build it. I hope the UFC books it as a five-rounder in the near future.
