It looks like one of Dan Henderson's coaches may not have been fully correct when he revealed that Hendo would be returning to middleweight. After the news spread fire and wide across the internet, it apparently came to the attention of the man himself. And Hendo took to Twitter to shoot down the idea:
It's funny how rumors get started. If you have read that I will be returning to middle weight. Not true, but always a possibility.— Dan Henderson (@danhendo) June 25, 2014
Henderson (30-12) hasn't competed at 185 pounds since he was soundly defeated by Jake Shields in Strikeforce in 2010. But he came in at 199 pounds for his fight with Daniel Cormier, which he lost, and rumors were running rampant that a TRT-less Hendo was a better fit at middleweight. That still may be true, but it looks like he hasn't made up his mind yet.
He previously stated that he would like to fight again before the end of the year, so we'll just have to wait and see what division that takes place in.
