Alexander Emelianenko is once again in the headlines for disturbing charges.
The Russian heavyweight, who spent a portion of his career fighting in PRIDE and is best known as the brother of legendary heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko, is currently facing charges for the sexual assault of a 27-year-old Polina Stepanova.
The victim's lawyer intends to pursue the matter to the fullest extent and believes that Emelianenko, who he considers to be "dangerous to society," will likely get a 4-6 year sentence for his crime.
"First, the court should extend Emelianenko's arrest which ends June 30," Stepanova's lawyer said in a statement. "And we will defend our position that he is really dangerous to society. Most likely, Alexander Emelianenko get imprisonment from four to six years. Any way we will insist on that"
Emelianenko is currently in custody and will remain there until June 30.
