With Bjorn Rebney's departure from Bellator, there was no doubt that certain fighters would be more outspoken than others about the future of the promotion and their own careers. Among those expected to be most vocal was Mo Lawal, who had verbally exploded on Rebney both before and during the inaugural Bellator PPV.
Lawal felt that Rebney was in the tank for opponent Quinton Jackson, calling him a "dick rider" among other things.
Following the news of Rebney's ousting from Bellator, Lawal immediately taunted Jackson on Twitter leading to a brief back-and-forth:
@Rampage4real so now u feel some typa way cuz your dick rider got fired and now u wanna retire!!!?— King Mo (@KingMoFH) June 18, 2014
