A followup on last Saturdays fights regarding the Co-main event featuring Albuquerque New Mexico's own Diego Sanchez took on British Slugger Ross Pearson in the Co-Main event on the Henderson Vs. Khabilov card on Fox 1. A huge load of controversy regarding that fight and somehow Sanchez pulling out the split decision victory. Even after 99.9% of the people who watched that fight knew Sanchez lost. But now that the fight is over you can recall the things that happen that possibly made that fight turn out the way that it did. Also gives you a chance well gives everyone a chance to reanalyze the fight every bit of those 15 minutes of that fight. Reasons why Sanchez was awarded the split decision victory a number of theories why honestly the judging was very wrong and it shouldn't be the way it is. The UFC needs to hire their own official judging rather than the athletic commissions own judges, to avoid anymore controversy regarding the fights that happen inside the octagon. Diego Sanchez was moving foreword the constant move foreword towards Pearson he threw more strikes didn't significantly land all of them but he threw a lot of body kicks
& flashy spinning back kicks though he got dropped in the 2nd he still was moving foreword he didn't pull back because he got caught he kept moving foreword towards his opponent it seemed as if Ross Pearson was just countering the whole fight and playing it safe and providing a effective game plan for Sanchez who tends to get crazy during fights ( in a good way of course ) but leaves himself open for strikes I personally thought that Ross Pearson won but when you watch a fight for the 1st time you straightforward go for whomever your betting to win and when they aren't on the right side of the judges scorecards in your mind your just completely bummed. But anyways the constant pressure of Sanchez and the aggression of him was what the judges in Albuquerque New Mexico were looking for from him.
If your looking for an accurate statement to why Pearson convincingly won look at the total amount of strikes landed for Pearson, like I've said in my eyes watching it Ross utilized a perfect gameplan for Diego Sanchez he didn't get sucked into Sanchez world of reckless brawling. But you can also count the flashy kicks from Sanchez and as I recall two takedown attempts that he attempted . But Pearson has stuffed the two takedowns. The judging in this sport is highly criticized for their lack of intelligence when it comes to judging high profiled fights and the intelligence level and what each individual judge personally sees in their eyes. I don't like personally that certain judges score the fight a lot more differently that the other two judges who score the bout 30-27 for Sanchez, cause in my opinion a 30-27 ? I can assure you Ross Pearson wasn't behind at all in that fight to be scored a 30-27. Now it's been officially announced by the UFC-president that Pearson was awarded a extra bonus money and they decided to move Pearson along as if he had won that fight. Much support by the organization of the UFC everyone is supported there.
There is a few couple controversial topics regarding split decision victories or early stoppages? I can see the stoppages being more legit and proper. This sport is exciting and continues to constantly grow grow grow and be a lot more exciting and that's what makes the UFC very exciting and intriguing for all of the fans and fighters to enjoy and view.
