UFC Fight Night: Brown vs. Silva live results and play-by-play for the FS1 main card

Starting at 10 p.m. ET, Bloody Elbow is here to keep you updated on all the action from the UFN: Cincinnati main card. The night's main event sees Matt Brown fighting Erick Silva.

In their return to Cincinnati, OH the UFC pits hometown favorite Matt Brown against Brazilian Erick Silva in a Welterweight match. Tonight's co-main event sees Middleweight Constantinos Philippou against Lorenz Larkin. Bloody Elbow will provide live results, analysis, and play-by-play.

This post will follow the main card. Following the preliminary card action on FS1 and Fight Pass, the main card kicks off at 10 p.m. ET (7 p.m. PT) on Fox Sports 1. Lightweight Erik Koch will take on TUF veteran Daron Cruickshank. Neil Magny faces off against Tim Means at Welterweight. In the sole Heavyweight fight of the card, Soa Palelei fights Ruan Potts. The Flyweights open the card as Chris Cariaso fight Louis Smolka.

Chris Cariaso vs. Louis Smolka

Round 1 - They clinched up against the cage and threw some knees. That was like half the round. Nice elbow from Cariaso. They clinched up again and Smolka landed to the body. Cariaso looked for a guillotine but Smolka escaped. They brawled to end the round. 10-9 Cariaso.

Round 2 - Cariaso got off to a good start with a big combination. He took Smolka's back on the ground with hooks. Smolka got back to full guard. Smolka countered an armbar attempt and returned to his feet. Cariaso scored a trip takedown, but Smolka only spent about 30 seconds on the ground. Nice combinations from both men. Cariaso locked up a deep choke but Smolka was saved by the bell. 10-9 Cariaso.

Round 3 - Cariaso with a good combo and a couple of counters. Leg kick from Cariaso. Smolka with a takedown. Cariaso looked for an omoplata but Smolka mounted him. He landed a couple of elbows but Cariaso escaped pretty quickly. Another couple of combos from Cariaso. Smolka tried to bring it back at him but he ate a lot of leg kicks while doing it. Another quick takedown from Cariaso. He looked for a choke again late. 10-9 and 30-27 Cariaso.

Chris Cariaso defeats Louis Smolka by split decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28)

Soa Palelei vs. Ruan Potts

Round 1 - Takedown from Palelei. He looked for a submission but couldn't get anything. They tangled for a while on the ground before Palelei got to mount. The first punch he threw there was a left hook that put Potts right out. He landed a couple more just for good measure before the referee stopped it.

Neil Magny vs. Tim Means

Round 1 - Leg kick from Magny. Good straight left from Means near the cage, and an elbow. Lots of hand fighting but not a ton of solid strikes. Knee to the body from Means. They jockeyed for position in the clinch for a little while. Hard leg kick from Means, who stuffed a takedown. Magny used a body lock to get Means down, but he only stayed there for 10 seconds or so. Body shots from both men. Spinning back fist from Means. Magny dropped Means with a left. Means rolled through and Magny pressed him against the cage. 10-9 Magny.

Round 2 - A lot of parrying and hand fighting early. Side elbow and left hook from Means. Means caught a kick and put Magny on the ground. He held him down against the cage and landed some knees. Magny fought his way up and looked for his own takedown. Right hook from Magny. Side kick from Means. Magny with a slam takedown but Means got up quickly again. 10-9 Means.

Round 3 - Leg kick from Means made Magny stumble. Superman punch off the cage from Magny. Means looked for a standing guillotine, but landed a big knee that stunned Magny. Magny scooped a single but fell into a choke. Magny escaped but was on his back. He quickly got up and looked for his own takedown. After getting slapped (yes, slapped) a few times, he finally got it. But Means was only down for a few seconds. Magny with another trip takedown. He moved to mount, then back mount. He peppered Means with light punches. Means got back to half guard but Magny controlled him. Means got a takedown right at the bell. 10-9 and 29-28 Magny.

Erik Koch vs. Daron Cruickshank

Round 1 - Nice counter right from Cruickshank early. Leg kicks from Cruickshank. Cruickshank was landing a little more over the first half of the round. Cruickshank scored with a right head kick, then a massive left head kick put Koch down face first! Cruickshank jumped on him and pounded him out forever before the ref finally stepped in and stopped it. Another upset.

Constantinos Philippou vs. Lorenz Larkin

Round 1 - Both men land a left at the same time. Philippou with a body shot and a leg kick. Leg kick from Larkin. They clinched up against the cage. Philippou with some foot stomps. Solid right hook and an uppercut from Larkin. Big body kick from Larkin, and another. Philippou scored with a big left but Larkin fired right back. Phillipou with another left, and they clinched up. A left hook scored for Philippou and he dropped Larkin with a right! He's out! What a shot.

Matt Brown vs. Erick Silva

Round 1 - Big head kick from Brown early. Silva with a slam takedown but he got reversed and they popped up. Big body kick and an uppercut. Another body kick drops Brown and he pounded away but couldn't get the finish. He got back mount and looked to sink a choke. Face crank. Body triangle. Silva tried hard to finish but Brown got up and immediately attacked. He had Silva hurt against the cage with big knees and elbows. Silva looked gassed. Brown just threw him to the ground. Knee to the body. Uppercut as he came up. Threw him to the ground again. Huge knee up the middle when Silva got up. Silva with a big body kick. Huge shots from Brown and a takedown. That was one insane round. 10-9 Brown.

Round 2 - Big knees from Brown early. Silva landed a low kick that looked to be to the balls. Brown back with heavy punches. Knees in the thai clinch. Elbows. Big uppercuts. Huge knees again. Elbows to the head against the cage. Head kick. Three straight left hooks from Brown. More and more. Another big body kick from Silva, but Brown is all over him. Another body shot and Brown is hurt again. Takedown from Brown. Side control, elbows. Brown with an inverted triangle to control Silva's head. D'Arce  choke from Brown. Knee to the belly and into mount. Elbows and punches, but Silva is surviving. Armbar from Brown, Silva escaped but Brown went for a triangle. Silva slipped out of that but he grabbed and arm. Silva's on top but he's pretty gassed. Silva can't generate any offense. 10-9 Brown.

Round 3 - Brown backed Silva up against the cage and brutalized him with knees and punches. Front kick from Brown. Brown with a takedown. Brown landed a few shots, then opened up with elbows that  caused a cut. Silva looked for a triangle but Brown shucked him off. He went to town with punches until Silva FINALLY lilted and the ref waved it off. That was a crazy, crazy fight.
