UFC Fight Night: Brown vs. Silva live results and play-by-play for the preliminary card

Tune into Bloody Elbow at 6:30 p.m. ET for the preliminary card results of tonight's UFN: Cincinnati. The main event pits Matt Brown against Erick Silva in a welterweight fight.

Tonight the UFC returns to Cincinnati, OH and the US Bank Arena for UFC Fight Night: Brown vs. Silva. The main event features a welterweight tilt between Matt Brown and Erick Silva. Bloody Elbow will provide live results, analysis, and play-by-play for the entire event.

This post will follow the preliminary card. The event kicks off with three fights shown on Fight Pass starting at 6:30 p.m. ET (3:30 p.m. PT). From there it'll head to Fox Sports 1 for four fights on the televised prelims beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The main card airs at 10 p.m. with six more bouts.

Fight Pass prelims:

Anthony Lapsley vs. Albert Tumenov

Round 1 - Lapsley shot in right away but got stuffed. Tumenov caught a kick and dropped Lapsley with a punch but he got up right away. Long gaps of inactivity. Lapsley had another diving takedown attempt stuffed. Right hook and a jab from Tumenov. Leaping left hook from Tumenov. Lapsley was backing up against the cage too much and he paid for it when he came off and ate another short left hook that sent him down. Tumenov didn't even need to follow it up.

Justin Salas vs. Ben Wall

Round 1 - I'm distracted by Ben Wall's gigantic beard. Salas had a takedown stuffed by said beard. Couple of kicks from Salas. He got him to his knees with a headlock but that was it. High kick from Salas. Lots of takedown attempted but Salas is running into a Wall. Nice uppercut inside.  They exchanged punches and a right hook wobbled Wall. Then Salas dropped him with a left and pounded him out. Finish might have been a tad late.

Manny Gamburyan vs. Nik Lentz

Round 1 - A right landed for Lentz, and a combination. Both men missed with big punches. Two knees in close from Lentz. Lentz got Manny down to his knees and took his back, but was having trouble sinking his hooks.  Manny got back to his feet and Lentz landed some knees, but one was low and the ref jumped in. It was actually a right hook to the cup. Gamburyan took about a minute to recover. Left hook from Gamburyan.  Lentz scored with a trip and grinded away on Gamburyan, who was on his knees. 10-9 Lentz.

Round 2 - Manny had some loose tape and asked for time.  Gamburyan with a right and a left that staggered Lentz. He returned fire with a couple of knees. Gamburyan got a takedown. Lentz got up after 45 seconds or so and went back to grinding.  He got him down to his knees and landed some punches from his back. Knees to the body from Lentz. Whole lot of grinding against the cage. Closer round, but 10-9 Lentz again.

Round 3 - Big pressure from Lentz, but he got touched up a bit with counter punches a bit. Lentz got Gamburyan down to his butt. Manny looked for a kimura and had Lentz in trouble for a second. Lentz recovered position and went back to Lentzing for a minute, but Manny pushed him backwards and took top position. Very quick standup from the referee. Lentz took advantage and got Manny down, going back to his usual grinding with short punches. Gamburyan scored with some short elbows. 10-9 Lentz, 30-27 overall.

Fox Sports 1 prelims:

Eddie Wineland vs. Johnny Eduardo

Round 1 - Early headbutt, which Eduardo apologizes for. A few kicks from Eduardo, Wineland's looking to box as usual. More inside leg kicks from Eduardo. Chopping outside leg kick from Wineland. Right hook from Eduardo backed Wineland up. Another inside leg kick from Eduardo. Eduardo rocked him with a right hook and absolutely destroyed him with the followup! WOW what an upset!

Yan Cabral vs. Zak Cummings -

Round 1 - Both men landed shots at the same time, but Cummings seemed to get the better of it. Cummings took it to the ground but got stuck in a triangle right away. It wasn't locked up the right way though and Cummings escaped. They jockeyed for position in the clinch. Cabral got a takedown. He worked from side and tried to mount but Cummings fought him off. 10-9 Cabral.

Round 2 - Cummings caught a head kick and bodyslammed Cabral to the mat. Cabral wanted to engage on the ground but his opponent wasn't having any of that. Right hook from Cabral. Cabral went for a takedown and basically just pulled guard. Not much happened and they returned to the feet. Body kick from Cummings, counter right from Cabral. Extended clinch battle. Cabral looks tired. Two right hooks and a left from Cummings. Cummings with a late takedown. 10-9 Cummings.

Round 3 - Cummings stuffed a shot. They grinded away against the cage for a while. Cabral scored with a spinning elbow upon separation. Another spinning attack from Cabral. Cummings ended up on top but Cabral quickly went for a triangle, then an arm. He rolled for a kneebar but Cummings ended up in mount for a few seconds. Cummings took the back and went for a choke. Cabral escaped out the back and took side control with 75 seconds to go. He immediately looked for an arm but couldn't get a shoulder lock. Cummings reversed again and ended the fight on top. I've got it 10-9 and 29-28 Cummings.

Kyoji Horiguchi vs. Darrell Montague

Round 1 - Lots of misses early as the fighters were standing very far back from each other. Front kick from Montague. Montague got a takedown, but it only stayed on the floor for 30 seconds or so. Leg kick from Montague, right hook from Horiguchi. Lots of movement, but not many strikes finding a home. 10-9 Montague.

Round 2 - Body kick from Horiguchi. Montague looked for an arm-triangle choke standing but Horiguchi popped out. Montague jumped for a guillotine but he fought that off too. Left hook from Montague but Horiguchi scored with a counter. Hard body kick from the Japanese fighter. Big flurry from Horiguchi against the cage had Montague hurt. Horiguchi attacked but couldn't get the stop. Big slam from Horiguchi but Montague escaped. Nice left from Montague. Body kick hurt Montague again. Right hook from Montague. Huge punches from Horiguchi. Huge body kick again. Montague showing a ton of heart but he got his butt kicked. 10-9 Horiguchi.

Round 3 - Body kick from Horiguchi to start. Leaping left hook connects for him. Trip takedown from Horiguchi and a big right as he stood over Montague. Heavy GnP but Montague absorbed it. Big upkick from Montague. Nice counter from Montague back on the feet. Counter right from Horiguchi. Big left from Montague, and a right hook. Great fight. I've got it 10-9 and 29-28 Horiguchi.

Kyoji Horiguchi defeats Darrell Montague by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

Ed Herman vs. Rafael Natal

Round 1 - Low kicks from both men. More low kicks from Natal that had Herman off balance. Sapo scored a takedown. Natal was content to just throw a few strikes and control position. He moved it over the feet but Herman used it to get up. Herman threw Sapo down as he threw a knee. A few hammerfists scored for Short Fuse. Big elbows. Natal got up just before the horn. 10-9 Natal.

Round 2 - Herman swarmed early with punches but ate more leg kicks. Counter straight right from Herman. Big left hook from Natal. Sapo got a takedown. The ref stood them up after a minute because Natal wasn't active enough. Natal tried to get another takedown right away but Herman stuffed it and clinched up against the cage. A solid kick connected for Herman. They clinched up again. 10-9 Natal.

Round 3 - Solid jabs from each men. Herman stuffed a takedown attempt. And again. Big left hook rom Sapo. Body kick and a left hook from Herman. Nut shot from Natal. Herman stuffed a takedown and beat Sapo up against the cage. Natal had a lot of blood on his face. Front kick from Natal. They grinded away against the cage for a bit. Stiff jab from Sapo. Spinning back fist followed it. More clinching. Knees to the body from both men. 10-9 Herman, but I gave the fight to Sapo 29-28.
