It is now May 2014, and nothing has been announced. However, there are many rumors out there concerning the future of InvictaFC. What we do know is that they have been aggressively signing new female talent in all female weight divisions, and that Julie Kedzie was recently placed as their matchmaker.
One prevalent rumor is that it will be on UFC Fight Pass. This is supported by the UFC not blurring out the InvictaFC logos during Leslie Smith's highlight package when she fought Sarah Kaufman in the UFC. There have been hints on different threads about it as well, but nothing is definite and much of it seems like speculation. If InvictaFC fights are going to be on UFC Fight Pass, that also raises the question of whether or not they have been bought by Zuffa/the UFC.
Outside of rumors of InvictaFC being on UFC Fight Pass, there has also been speculation that they will be on some sort of Fox affiliate such as FS1 or FS2. Knapp brings up that they are in talks to have some sort of tv network deal, and many are assuming that they will end up in some sort of Fox affiliate. InvictaFC and the UFC seem to have a good relationship with each other, and some believe that is some sort of entryway for InvictaFC to be on Fox.
Personally, I do not know what is going on with the organization. They are constantly signing new fighters, which would indicate some sort of build up to an event or something else. I'm sure that they'll eventually announce their potential next event in the near future, and hopefully that announcement is sometime this month. Many seem to be anticipating an announcement of a tv deal, which is very much needed for InvictaFC.
I think it's the silence that's killing me, and from what I've read, it's also leaving a bit of their fans in a state of unrest. There is still general goodwill towards the company, but also a bit of doubt in some of their fans towards them as well. I can only hope for the best for them, as it is a very good MMA organization that has done a lot for Women's MMA, and they tend to produce a high quality product.
