A batsh*t crazy idea: put Jones v Gus on Fight Pass

This idea came to me the other night when I was discussing the possibility of this fight taking place in Sweden at their new 50k+ seater. We both agreed that it would be hard to fill that stadium at 4 in the morning, since the UFC seems set on making this a PPV.

And then it hit me. Put that jammer on Fight Pass. You want to crack the European market wide open? Jones vs. Gus at primetime (locally) would be a massive step.

You want to explode the number of Fight Pass subscribers? How about putting the can't-miss fight of the year exclusively on the platform? One thing's for sure - everyone would at least know what the hell fight pass is after that.

Would it happen at a fairly inconvenient time for US fans? Sure. But we're already on the hook. And I think getting this fight for 10 bucks as opposed to 55 would soften that blow.

Feel free to tell me why im an idiot in the comments, but I think this is just crazy enough to work. I would expect the UFC to take a monetary hit the night of, but the long terms gains in both international expansion and Fight Pass subscribers are nearly incalculable,
