Sarah Kaufman gets into a car accident, no major injuries but is 'pissed more than anything'

Andrew Richardson-USA TODAY Spor

UFC women’s bantamweight Sarah Kaufman was in a car accident on Saturday night, which almost destroyed her car but left her just a little bit sore.

Sarah Kaufman could have lost the Miesha Tate fight before it was even made official, as the women's bantamweight competitor was in a car accident that left her vehicle a state of ruin.

The former Strikeforce women's bantamweight champion was at a red light, when the culprit decided to run a red light and crash straight into Kaufman's car.

Kaufman, who said she was just a "bit sore," was frustrated by the entire situation:

Kaufman is coming off one of the more entertaining fights on the TUF:Nations Finale fight against Leslie Smith, as both fighters traded shots for the better part of three rounds. Kaufman would take a comfortable unanimous decision, marking her first official victory in the UFC. She had recently taken to twitter to call out fellow former champion Miesha Tate, who also won her first UFC bout the following weekend, for a match-up in the near future.
