UFC 173 results: Robbie Lawler vs. Jake Ellenberger full fight video highlights

Check out video highlights of the UFC 173 welterweight bout between Robbie Lawler and Jake Ellenberger.

Robbie Lawler made a quick comeback from a title fight loss and it looked like it was a good idea. Lawler took on Jake Ellenberger in a welterweight UFC 173 bout and mostly dominated the fight before getting a third-round TKO finish. Lawler, who lost a close fight to Johny Hendricks late last year, is gunning for another title fight and this win is a big step in the right direction. Check out the video highlights above, and/or read my play-by-play of the final round below.

Round 3 - Nice knee from Lawler. Two huge rights from Ellenberger seemed to daze Lawler a bit. Lawler returned fire with a left. And another. Ellenberger might have hurt his right hand. The pace slowed considerably after that. Straight left from Lawler, and another. Hard straight right. Huge knee and a left sent Ellenberger down, and a few more punches made referee Herb Dean step in a stop the fight. Ellenberger seemed to take either an eyepoke and a punch to the eye and that was the beginning of the end.
