Jim Ross: Ronda Rousey is my favourite fighter

Legendary WWE commentator Jim Ross went on UFC Tonight to discuss UFC 173 as well as why his favourite active fighter in the promotion is Ronda Rousey.

"Good Ol' JR" is a huge fan of Ronda Rousey.

The legendary WWE commentator joined hosts Kenny Florian and Chael Sonnen on UFC Tonight to discuss a variety of topics, including this weekend's UFC 173 main event, as well as who he considers to be his favourite fighter in the organization.

When asked about Saturday's PPV main event, Ross sided with champ Renan Barao, who he is confident will defend his title once again.

"Well Barao is 33-0 right? I like his chances. But Dillashaw has a shot at taking him down. He would be the first guy to do so. But I don't see it happening. I think Barao wins the fight.  But if I was a big-time gambler like Dana White, I'd put some money on the upset.

"I don't think Dillashaw gets it done. I like Barao's game."

Later on in the interview, Ross would be asked to select his favourite fighter in the UFC, to which he replied:

"If I am going to be honest, I gotta say Ronda Rousey.

"Ronda Rousey is the one fighter that no matter where I go and talk to people about the UFC and my fandom, she is the first thing that is brought up. She is a star. She is extraordinary."
